about
The single “Su vaimu isa palume” (We Pray to Your Spirit, Father) is based on an old Estonian traditional choral that talks about what happens when someone loses their faith and how believing helps one through obstacles without any fear. The release day is on the 6th of January, the Epiphany day, commemorating how a star led the Magi, or the three kings or wise men, to the baby Jesus. This song magically came to life when band members were recording OOPUS’ new album “Folk On Acid” (tba 2022).

8.Su vaimu isa palume
We Pray To Your Spirit Father
Estonian traditional/Johannes Ahun/Mari Meentalo
Su vaimu, isa, palume
see on ju poja tahtmine
Oh saada taevas teda
Kui ruttu issand, sinuta
võib usk ja truudus lõppeda
kui appi sa ei tule
Kus sinu vaim, sel on ka võit
Kui võitluses ta aitab meid
Ei ole siis meil hirmu
Kui kõik maailm kõik hukka läeb
siis tema meile osaks jääb
Ja annab rõõmu taevaks
